Renewable Energies „Made in Germany“

With a focus on the visit of the world’s leading fair INTERSOLAR in Munich, a group of 18 experts from Central America completed a tailor-made one week technical seminar in Bavaria.

The specialists from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador visited Bavaria on invitation from the Bavarian State Ministry of Economy and were accompanied by bfz staff during their stay.  

The technical seminar aims primarily on establishing contacts and professional exchange with Bavarian companies from the solar sector. Apart from the fair, The delegation visited the Energy Campus Nuremberg, the company Vispiron and the Technical University of Munich in Garching, in order to get informed on the latest research on organic solar cells and their range of applications.  

The Central American experts were impressed by the Bavarian know-how and the development of up to date technologies. They did not expects such in a country with clearly less usable hours of sunshine in comparison to their home countries. Of course, the cultural exchange did not fall short: the guests were overwhelmed with the impressive scenery of Lake Starnberg.
