Successful end of the qualification project in Ukraine despite the Covid-19-pandemic

It is done: The last part qualification has been completed. All of it in consideration of the latest decisions and actions in order to embank the Covid-19-pandemic. The project named “Identification, Motivation, Qualification and Integration of IDPs in the Eastern Ukraine” reaches remarkable numbers.

Two regions – four different professions – 8 educational institutions – 25 qualifications – 402 participans – over one thousand people which have been educated in soft skills – over two thousand people who use KoJACK.

One year ago, the project had to face some severe problems due to the Covid-19-pandemic. The integration coaches who have been educated by bbw had to switch their supervision of the participants to supervision by phone and all educational soft skill courses had to be transferred to an online format. For a start, the qualifications themselves have been cancelled. Suddenly, the project’s future has become uncertain.

At the beginning of the pandemic, the switch from educating the participants on location to online only was unthinkable. But because of the commitment of the training school’s staff and the project partners, the education concepts have been revised and the time during the lockdowns have been bridged by the use of digital media. This is the reason why all of the planned courses could have been completed successfully.
