Three day training for Tunisian vocational teachers: Work safety, health and environment protection at jobsite

From March 22nd to March 24th, 20 Tunisian vocational teachers have participated in a “train-the-Trainers” action within the DTHWS project.

Topics of the training were work safety, health and environment protection at jobsite and its aim was to sensitize the trainers of the vocational training centres of the DTHWS project (Ben Arous, Enfidha, Gabès, Mahrès, Sidi Bouzid, Soliman) to standards in the work safety and environment protection.

The training contained presentations about the legal and the official requirements concerning work safety as well as legal an regulatory requirements concerning environment protection. Furthermore, the participants have been educated in recognizing and evaluating dangers and risks at jobsite. In addition to the presentations, the participants got to know the contents of a legal and regulatory audit report and a diagnosis report as well as an action plan. Finally, a discussion was led about the integration of the concepts concerning work safety, health and environment protection into the curriculum via the vocational teachers.
