The project area includes 13 villages with a total population of approximately 50,000 people, located about 60 kilometres from Cairo. The skills of women and girls are theoretically and practically analyzed, and job opportunities are sought based on these skills.

The combination of career orientation, healthcare, and women's self-organization directly addresses the main issues faced by women in rural areas in a targeted and solution-oriented way. This approach results in a sustainable impact.

More employment opportunities for women and youth

In recent years, Egypt has introduced structural reforms to lay the foundations for economic growth and job creation. These reforms also aim to make the economy more inclusive, particularly by providing more employment opportunities for women and young people.

By 2030, women are expected to play an active role in Egypt's sustainable development, enjoying a stronger political, economic and social presence and greater representation in the workforce. At the same time, Egypt is focusing on limiting rural-to-urban migration and expanding agricultural land. This project builds upon these objectives.
