Four priorities for an inclusive circular economy
From July 2025 to June 2027, RECAP – funded by the Bavarian State Chancellery and implemented by the International Division of bbw gGmbH – will strengthen the plastics recycling sectors in Tunisia and Senegal through four approaches:
- Practical teaching content, modular training courses, and pilot courses on site and online
- a mobile platform for trading recycled plastics
- short training courses for informal collectors, for example on sorting, safety, and hygiene
- workshops and awareness-raising events to promote dialogue and political engagement
Innovation for recycling and networking
RECAP is aimed at recycling companies, public authorities, NGOs, informal collectors, and Bavarian companies. The goal is to create an inclusive circular economy through technical training, digital solutions, and networking in order to open up new market opportunities.
The partners are CITET (Centre International des Technologies de l’Environnement de Tunis) in Tunisia and SONAGED (Société Nationale de Gestion Intégrée des Déchets) in Senegal.
