The concept of Technical Seminars

A group of 16 people, mostly African, are holding certificates in their hands. They are standing on a paved square in front of a building and greenery. Joy and success can be seen.

During the one-week programme, groups of up to 18 entrepreneurs, business leaders, and technical experts are given the chance to learn about the latest technologies and concepts offered by Bavarian companies and institutions, and to build personal connections with their Bavarian counterparts.
The Ministry covers most of the programme-related costs in Bavaria. Each participant is responsible for paying for their visa and return travel to Germany. Furthermore, participants are expected to contribute towards daily meals.

bbw organises 16 Technical Seminars in 2024

In 2024, bbw organised 16 seminars – 15 took place in Bavaria and one abroad. Over 200 experts came to Bavaria to address topics such as the bioeconomy, new industrial and production technologies, organic agriculture, water and wastewater management, hydrogen and waste-to-energy (W2E) technologies, urban planning and the circular economy. The seminar was attended by representatives from several countries: Brazil, Central America, East Africa, India, Kenya, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Senegal, Uganda and Zambia. For the first time, the programme also included delegations from Colombia, Peru, Nigeria and South Africa.
