Strong Partnership for Modern Vocational Training

A trainee in the hospitality sector is standing in a training kitchen at the Kenya Coast National Polytechnic, wearing white chef’s uniform. She is holding kitchen utensils and taking part in a practical vocational training course.

The project is implemented jointly with Kenya Coast National Polytechnic in Mombasa and other partners in Kenya. bbw gGmbH contributes its network and experience from Bavaria.

The focus is on practice-oriented training, new supplementary modules and close cooperation with companies in the coastal region.

This creates an environment that provides young people with orientation and supports their path towards decent employment.

New Pathways into Employment and Fair Skilled Labour Migration

Representatives from bbw gGmbH and a local partner from the hospitality sector are pictured together in a hotel reception area in Kenya. The image symbolises cooperation, practical exchange and the link between vocational training and employment prospects.

The project combines training, guidance and qualification into a clear pathway towards employment. It develops supplementary modules, organises selection processes and prepares participants for professional prospects in Kenya and Germany through language courses and training.

At the same time, interested companies in Germany are involved and transparent processes for fair skilled labour pathways are established.

In this way, sustainable bridges are created between training and the labour market.
