Training 300 people

Project partners and representatives of Tunisian companies are seated around a table, listening to the presentation by the bbw project manager.

The main objective of the project is to develop action- and practice-oriented short courses in the ICT sector and to train skilled workers locally. A special feature is that the courses are tailored to the needs of both Tunisian and German companies.

The project is working with the training centre of the employers' umbrella organisation UTICA in Sfax and the government agencies responsible for further training. The UTICA training centre is being strengthened through training and advisory measures.

Regular skilled labour migration is supported by regional advisory services

Project partners and a local bbw expert sit round a table and discuss the results of the needs analysis.

The project focuses on the Sfax region. Building on existing local services and bbw expertise, the project is introducing advisory services on regular migration to Germany in the Sfax region and training advisors from the state employment agency. In addition, the UTICA Training Centre offers language courses (German/English).

The project thus contributes to German development cooperation efforts to support regulated skilled labour migration. The project is funded by the BMZ and administered by sequa gGmbH.
