Occupational safety: training for Tunisian waste management sector

As part of the partnership project "Environmental School Tunesia", the first training of trainers on "Health and safety at work in the waste management sector" took place in Tunis in July.

The training was attended by representatives of the Tunisian Ministry of Local Affairs and Environment, representatives of the International Centre for Environmental Technologies (CITET) and representatives and trainers of several municipalities in Tunisia.

Within the scope of the training, the accident incidents in German and Tunisian companies were compared. Subsequently, the participants were trained on various topics. In addition to the testing and maintenance of vehicles, the central role of risk assessment, correct behavior in the case of emergency and first aid were also on the training schedule.
