At two of the six locations of the “German-Tunisian Crafts Schools”, the first part of the qualification of four professions have started. At these locations, young Tunisians can now qualify as systems mechanics, masons, tilers or carpenters. After six months, they will acquire a certificate.

In the middle of April 2021, bbw is visiting four different cities in South Africa accompanied by a trainer commissioned by the initiative SAVE-P. A total of approximately thirty-five service technicians from 12 different hospitals will be trained in the maintenance and servicing of non-invasive ventilators. Starting point of the training was the city of Durban, followed by medical facilities in Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth and Mthatha.

18 apprentices from a wood sculptor class from the Munich Center for Arts and Crafts and 14 soon-to-be arts and crafts men and women from Marrakesh accepted the challenge to sketch and assemble a jewel box. This task is part of the partner project OFE (Orientation-Formation-Emploi).

Under the motto "Give deaf people in the metal sector a voice", bbw gGmbH is developing digital tools for hearing-impaired and deaf employees in the metal sector together with nine other European partners. Together we have set ourselves the goal of expanding the technical know-how of the employees concerned and improving communication in production.
