Full success: online technical information seminars with Brazil, Mexico, Angola and Mozambique

Full success: online technical information seminars with Brazil, Mexico, Angola and Mozambique

In 2020, seminars on the topics of water, wastewater, renewable energies, regional development and tourism were held with great success with funding from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs

Due to the pandemic, bbw International Hof has changed the usual 18-person delegation trips to Bavaria, which have been going on for more than 10 years, to an online format. In the process, 7 topics were dealt with and companies in Bavaria were visited virtually. The company tours and presentations were produced as a film and the explanations of the company owners were recorded as an audio track in German and later translated into the local languages. A live chat with the entrepreneurs complemented the films. A forum with expert discussions and lectures was developed for Mexico.

The added value of these online formats is that up to 300 people instead of 18 from the partner countries can take part and that the films are stored as teaching material at bbw and are also available to the companies for their own marketing. In addition, the participants can watch the films and presentations several times via links sent to them. For repetitions, e.g. for other countries, this film material can be used again. For other languages, only the soundtrack needs to be translated. With so-called teasers (trailers or short films), the topics can already be pointed out when the programmes are sent out and an optimal promotion of the online seminar can be achieved. The first online seminars were very well evaluated by the Bavarian companies and the Brazilian and Mexican participants. The client is also very satisfied. It is certain that this format will continue to be in high demand after the pandemic, in addition to the face-to-face events.
