GLOBAL IMPACT THROUGH LONG-TERM EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS

Whether it's training, start-up support or digitalisation, bbw international provides impetus for vocational training and economic development worldwide. Together with local partners, it develops projects that empower people and change structures, always with a focus on sustainability and participation.

Changing the world through education

The International Division of bbw gGmbH is involved in long-term development cooperation projects around the world with the aim of opening up new possibilities for people through vocational training. The focus is on promoting skills, strengthening local economic cycles, placing people in good jobs and working with strong local partners.

We work in numerous regions and countries in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America. Together with local partners and with the support of experienced specialists from our own organisation, we develop sustainable solutions – always with the aim of enabling participation and improving structures and prospects in the long term.

Partnerships for opportunities

bbw relies on strong international partnerships – such as with GIZ and sequa gGmbH – to advance vocational training worldwide. Vocational training partnerships and chamber and association partnerships give rise to projects that strengthen local structures and promote practical training opportunities.

On behalf of the Bavarian State Chancellery, there is a particular focus on countries covered by the Bavarian Africa Package. The aim is to create sustainable prospects for people and regions through targeted educational initiatives.

Promoting diversity, shaping the future

We are actively shaping change in vocational education and training. Topics range from improving training systems, supporting start-ups and career guidance to providing qualifications for disadvantaged groups, including refugees.

Green transition projects teach skills for a sustainable economy, while digitalisation opens up new opportunities for modern learning formats and future-proof job profiles. We pursue a holistic approach that sees education as the key to participation, development and responsibility.
