As part of the project "Pro Ensino Híbrido" - Promotion of Blended Learning in Vocational Training in Mozambique, the International Department of bbw gGmbH, in cooperation with sequa, initiated the digitisation of 12 modules with a total of 83 teaching units for the two training courses Ship and Cargo Agents and Port Operators at the Instituto Nautico e Portuário in Beira, Mozambique.

Within the German-Tunisian Craft School project (DTHWS), which is funded by The Federal Ministry of Economic and Development (BMZ), a meeting with the project partners took place in Tunis on 25 October.

From 29 August until 2 September, Anna Engel-Köhler and Hubert Schurkus visited the sites of the German-Tunisian Crafts School project (DTHWS), Tunisian Automotive Association (TAMA) and Start-Tronic (automobile-mechatronics Sfax) in Tunisia, together with Laurine Ardjelan, coordinator bbw international Würzburg.

Within the frame of the German-Tunisian Craft School Project (DTHWS), a training concerning „areas and situations of learning“ took place in Sousse from 20 September until 22 September.

Between September 5 and 7, 2022, a representative of the German Embassy Kampala and BMZ - Mr. David Löw - visited the Uganda Refugee Employment Promotion Project (UREPP) at the Hoima site, near Lake Albert.

There is a deep economic and political crisis in Lebanon. Two thirds of the population now live below the poverty line. This makes the good results of the labour market provisions BINA and BEAT, arranged together with the local project partner LOST (Lebanese Organisation of Training and Studies) all the more important.

On May 17th, coordinator and trainer at bbw international Anne Oertel held a training for apprentices and trainers in Marrakesh within the frame of the vocational training partner project of bfz together with the arts an crafts school in Marrakesh.

From May 7th to May 21st, a group of German apprentices from the vocational school BS1 in Kempten were visiting their partner school in Kénitra, Morocco, accompanied by their teachers Marcus Marcher, Jürgen Schmidt and Christoph Münstermann. This has been a pilot project of collaboration between vocational schools in North Africa and Germany.
